CALL FOR PARTICIPATION
IEEE COMSOC, IEICE
1st International Workshop on Networked Reality in TeleCommunication
..............................................................................
May 13,14 1994
NTT Media Lab
Tokyo, JAPAN
IEEE Multimedia'94 follows. (May 17-19, Kyoto, Japan)
-- About NR94 --
NR'94 is the first international workshop discussing the technology, services,
and social and cultural issues for the next generation communication
environment focusing on networked reality in telecommunication that lays
beyond virtual reality. The next generation of telecommunication paradigms
should be based on a communication environment which provides a comfortable
and empowering virtual space with enough reality for communication. Various
aspects of Networked Reality will be discussed, including the technical,
social, and psychologial ones.
The purpose of this workshop is to provide a place to present, exchange, and discuss the above i
deas and topics.
-- Workshop Sessions --
* Every session will proceed sequentially (not in parallel).
* Interactive Demos and Networked Reality Experiments are planned.
* The number of participants is limited to 100
